Abstract

Demo Pack 3 contains the "System Class Charting Tool" that was shown at CA World 2002. This is a graphical modeling tool, which allows you to create, customize, and print diagrammatic views of the OpenROAD System Class hierarchy.

It shows some of the improved graphics capabilities of OpenROAD - the tool is written in pure 4GL - and it is a preview of the core model-editing interface that is used in the forthcoming Userclass Model Editor. It is a completely standalone tool for evaluation. It does not require an OpenROAD installation.

Features include:

• 'Explorer' style interface with drag&drop graphical modeling;
• Extended UML notation;
• XML import and export capability;
• Direct access to the PDF documentation for a selected class;
• Customizable HTML reporting using XML/XSLT;
• Customizable PostScript output for printing, conversion to PDF etc;
• Sample Models (AppServer, Basic GUI, Full Hierarchy, User1-3);
• Online Help.
