Computer Associates is periodically posting new information about the 1998 conference on their CA World web site. Check it out regularly for information on registration, keynote speakers, activities, and preconference education.
As of January 20, information available on the CA World web pages includes the preliminary agenda, the Ingres World week at a glance, registration information (including on-line registration), pre-conference education, and keynote speakers.
Attendees should now be able to start reserving their hotel rooms at the Sheraton. You should get a Hotel Reservation Form with your Conference confirmation letter, or if you don't want to wait you can call the CA World phone number, 1-800-CAINFO98, and either request a form or request them to take your reservation.
Within the next few days, the Preliminary Agenda available on the CA World web site should be updated every day.
This year's Ingres World Event Night will be held at Planet Hollywood! We expect it to be just as much fun as last year's was at the House of Blues.
All abstracts should be in by now, and the deadline for turning in the first draft of your presentation (February 6) is fast approaching. If you have any questions, check with your track leader or with the Program chairman (contact info available below).
Most presenters should be starting to work on their presentations at this point. You can download Powerpoint templates from the CA World web site, at the Speaker Information page. In addition, CA has provided us with Ingres World templates that include the IUA logo on the slide. These Powerpoint templates are available for download just below. The download file includes a Microsoft Word document that provides the Presentation Standards.
